Why? All the members of the team have a long held ambition to attempt a challenge of this kind, and the size, climate and varied landscape of Australia provides the ideal conditions. The trip also gives the team the opportunity to raise the profile of a charitable organisation, and in this case has decided to support the Leukaemia Research Fund. When? The team will fly out to Australia in mid January 2002, and begin their journey at the beginning of February. The trip should take around three and a half months to complete. |
