Diary

6th November 2001.
The big news since Jims first diary entry is that we had a change of plan concerning the aircraft. Both of us sold our existing planes which allowed us each to order brand new 912 Blades from Mainair. Although we left it rather late to make such a change, now that we've made the decision, we are both really looking forward to taking delivery of G-CBGM and G-CBGT, hopefully in the next week or so. Weather permitting, we are intending to fly them here for a few hours before they have to be packed up for shipping.

Choosing 4-stroke aircraft has simplified the planning as now we don't need to figure out a way of carrying 60 litres of 2-stroke oil each. Big thanks are owed to the guys at Mainair for making such an effort to build the aircraft so quickly for us and for all their other help & advice.

Thanks also to Bax Global who have provided loads of assistance & advice regarding getting the planes to Australia. The date for shipping has now been fixed for mid-December so, at last, we can concentrate on organising all the other stuff for the container. Theres still a few paperwork issues to deal with but it finally feels like we are making progress. At this rate by Xmas all we will have to decide is which shorts we are going to pack !

Next diary entry - flying our new planes ! John
